LOCSU is the Local Optical Committee Support Unit, supporting Local Optical Committees (LOCs) in England across a range of activities relating to primary eye care.
We were approached by Cream Design to build the LOCSU site which was the first in a trilogy of sites we built for the optical sector, the other two being LOC Online and Primary Eye Care.
For what may be considered quite a dry subject, the aesthetics of the website portrait a modern, forward thinking company, positioning them exactly where they intend to be.
This site incorporates some fantastic functionality, in particular the Service Directory.
This allows visitors to the site to search through the entire optical service offering by location and service.
We also built news, podcast and newsletter functionality all of which incorporate archive functionality in order to aid a visitor in identifying and discovering content.
A members only area allows private content to be ‘gated’ behind a login.
