Berkshire Youth is a fantastic charity in Reading who support, empower and inspire young people, particularly those who or vulnerable or disadvantaged.
Berkshire Youth required a new website. The existing site was somewhat confusing and inconsistent for visitors to use and it was also not intuitive for Berkshire Youth to update.
As always, Cream bought order to chaos and designed a superbly engaging and aesthetically pleasing site, making great use of illustrations which reflect the target audience of the site.
WeCreate were then tasked with the development of the site.
We understand that if a website is difficult to use, then whoever is responsible for maintaining it, will be reluctant to do so. Therefore we integrated a very intuitive CMS (Content Management System) that allows content to be updated, deleted and added with ease.
News posts are split into their own section and can be published immediately or scheduled for the future.
We also provided a simple way for content to be shared across any pages on the site. In this particular case it was the teaser blocks that lead visitors to related content.
We ensure that where content is going to be used across multiple pages, it is only necessary to input it once, ensuring that information is 100% consistent across the site.
All in all it’s a great example of how a website refresh should look and work. We wish Berkshire Youth all the best with their continued great work.
