As part of our ongoing web design work across Reading and Berkshire, we partnered with Butterscotch Design to create a modern, high performing website for Proper Kitchen.
Based at Loddon Brewery in Dunsden near Reading and Henley-on-Thames, they offer a variety of seasonal, wood-fired meals and are a local favourite.
MOBILE / RESPONSIVE WEBSITES
Proper Kitchen don’t need to worry about how people access their website because the website is mobile friendly / responsive.
That means regardless of whether visitors want to check out the menu or make a reservation on their mobile phone, tablet or laptop, they will get a consistent and optimised experience.
The majority of websites visitors will access a website on a mobile phone, so the design and development starts here.
Creating a warm, engaging online presence in Berkshire
Their home page sets the scene perfectly via a video with roaring flames coming out of a wood fired oven.
Striking food imagery is used throughout the website in order to entice customers to come and eat and this is supported by multiple CTAs (Call To Actions) across the website to drive visitors towards making a booking.
Interactive and dynamic features
The team at Proper Kitchen were also keen to include additional movement in the website so we have included flip cards to display menus that visitors can engage with.
Other features that were required for the website were the ability to pull in Instagram posts to the website, a newsletter sign up that automatically adds interested parties to an email list and a map / directions so that people can plan their visit to Proper Kitchen.
