The University of Oxford approached WeCreate to design and build a website for a new project called Arctic Encounters.
The project is an international collaborative research project, funded by a HERA Joint Research Programme II Grant (2013 – 2016), that looks at the increasingly important role of cultural tourism in fashioning twenty-first century understandings of the European Arctic.
The website has a modern, clean and minimalistic feel and uses Perch as the CMS, providing staff with the ability to manage the content. The website has already been a huge success, highlighting the great work undertaken by the research team.
Some kind words from Roger Norum, Postdoctoral Research Fellow:
WeCreate built a fantastic website for us that exceeded our expectations many times over. We initially had fairly simple technical requirements, but before they began implementation, the development team at WeCreate made a number of suggestions for improving the look and feel and functionality of the website. And they did all of it to fit within our budget, with pricing that was more competitive than other dev groups we were looking at. We couldn’t be happier with the site we have now – and colleagues are already asking us who built it for us!
